Preparations are just about done for La Grind this weekend.
Activities for the cycling stage race will be both Saturday and Sunday, with 9 am serving outside High Gear as the launch time and location both days. Spokesman Tyrel Davis says there will be more options for riders this year, including a 165-mile total ride, as well as 100-mile, 50-mile and 30-mile options for Saturday.
Other activities include a Shakeout Ride on at 5:30 pm Friday and Brad Bennett, as seen on America’s Got Talent, at 6 pm Saturday. Proceeds benefit Handlebars of Hope, which provides bikes for those in need locally and in Mexico.
