Flooding from last week is no more, and the Lyon County Highway Department has removed all barricades from roads closed due to flooding last week.
Several roads were closed from just southwest of Emporia to the Lyon-Chase county line since flooding was noticed early Friday. Flooding followed up to 3 inches of rain in Lyon County on Wednesday and Thursday, forcing minor flooding along the Cottonwood River near Emporia and the Neosho River near Neosho Rapids.
Conditions will be hot and humid through Thursday with high temperatures in the low 90s. No rain is expected until Thursday night.
