More than 200 students are set to leave the halls of Flint Hills Technical College and move on to the next phase of their careers this weekend.
The college is hosting its spring commencement activities inside of White Auditorium Sunday afternoon. During a recent installment of KVOE’s Tech Talk, FHTC President Dr. Caron Daugherty announced that 249 students will be graduating this spring.
Dr. Daugherty says students who receive a technical certificate or their degree of applied science enter the workforce with a stronger frame and foundational knowledge of the industry they’re preparing to enter.
Of the 249 graduates, just over 140 are expected to walk during Sunday’s ceremony. Graduation will follow a pinning ceremony for the college’s dental hygiene program from 1-2 pm.
Spring commencement activities will begin at 3 pm.
