Strategic planning continues to be the primary focus of the Regional Development Association of East Central Kansas and likely will for the foreseeable future.
During the RDA Board of Directors monthly meeting Friday morning, RDA President Chuck Scott presented the results of recent strategic planning discussions to the board. Scott says the conversations have been productive thus far with the ultimate goal still being increased business recruitment and retention.
While the end goal seems simple, Scott says the road to reach it is anything but as there are several underlying initiatives that need to be addressed.
Strategic planning meetings will continue in the coming months, however, an exact date for the next meeting has yet to be announced. Scott says the next set of discussions may take place either next month or in early July.
In other business, the board received the monthly president and chairman’s reports from Scott and RDA Board Chair Jamie Sauder. The RDA Board of Directors will reconvene for its monthly meeting in June.
