The Kansas City Royals outscored the Colorado Rockies 8-7 Sunday.
The Royals built a 6-0 lead on home runs from Emmanuel Rivera, Whit Merrifield, and Bobby Witt jr.
Colorado would score 7 runs in the bottom of the 7th inning to take a 7-6 lead.
In the top of the 9th Salvador Perez drove in two runs with a single to give the lead back to the Royals and the win.
Royals manager Mike Matheny called it the best win of the season.
The Royals begin a 5 game series with the Chicago White Sox Monday night in Kansas City. Brad Keller will be the Starting pitcher for the Royals with the first pitch at 7:10 pm.
