Classic cars, trucks — and even a bus — were part of the Flatland Cruisers’ annual car show Saturday.
Jeff Shirley of Americus brought the bus, a 1948 Chevrolet. He came across the bus from a person who originally sold him a truck. Shirley didn’t track the hours he put into renovating the bus, which now is fully decked out.
Emporian Russ Beatty brought in a 1968 Dodge Charger and two Plymouth Barracudas, a 1971 and 1973. Beatty has been drawn to Mopar engines since he was a teenager.
Beatty also thanked the Flatland Cruisers for supporting the automotive scholarship at Flint Hills Technical College through the show. Proceeds are pending, both for the scholarship and other Flatland Cruisers fundraising ventures.
Just under 120 vehicles were part of the show, with another 15 from club members.
