CareArc is contracting with a medical recruiting firm to fill several key positions.
As part of Tuesday’s Board of Directors meeting, CEO Renee Hively said CareArc will partner with Inline for help in finding a medical director, psychiatric nurse practitioner, dentists and behavioral health therapists. Hively says staffing shortages are rampant in health care nationwide.
While several positions are open, patient numbers are getting closer to their pre-pandemic levels, but they aren’t there yet. Provider Dr. Michael McClintick of CareArc’s Eureka office said visit numbers on a year-to-date level have increased noticeably from 3,024 in 2020, going to 4,394 last year and over 4,400 through April this year. However, he says inflation has forced many residents to delay medical care and pay for other non-medical needs.
The monthly net gain was strong at $38,000, but that was under budget of $52,000. The year-to-date net gain is around $307,000.
