The Jones Aquatic Center will open as scheduled on Memorial Day, however, several of the centers amenities will be unavailable.
The City of Emporia announced Saturday that the center’s slide, lazy river and splash pad will not be open to the public at the start of the regular season Monday. A news release from the city states the cause is due to a “delay in maintenance supplies.”
It is unclear when those amenities will be available. Pool hours will be 1-6 pm daily.
Admission is $3 for residents ages 4-15 and $5 for residents ages 16 and up. Residents can buy punch cards to get admission at a discount.
