Bobby Witt, Jr., hit the longest home run of his young career, but that wasn’t nearly enough as Houston beat the Kansas City Royals 10-3 Friday night.
Witt hit a 443-foot blast into the fountains in the sixth inning to provide all the offense the Royals got Friday night, but by that time Houston already led 10-0.
Brady Singer gave up seven runs on eight hits in five innings. Manager Mike Matheny says Singer’s stuff was good. His location wasn’t.
The Royals have now lost five straight. They will try to end that streak Saturday afternoon . Game time is 3:10 pm with pregame at 2:30 pm on 14 KVOE and 96.9 FM.
