The Tampa Bay Lightning scored two goals in the third period to defeat the New York Rangers in game three of the Stanley Cup Eastern Conference finals Sunday.
The Rangers lead 2-1 in the third period thanks to goals by Mika Zibanejad and Chris Kreider in the second. Nikita Kucherov put Tampa Bay on the board with a goal late in the third.
Steven Stamkos added the tying goal early in the third and Ondrej Palat scored the go-ahead with 42 seconds remaining to give the Lightning their first win of the series. Game four will be played Tuesday in Tampa Bay.
Game four of the western conference final will be played tonight in Edmonton. The Colorado Avalanche will be looking for the sweep of the Edmonton Oilers as the Avs lead that series 3-0.
