More budget discussions are ahead for Lyon County commissioners on Wednesday.
County commissioners will hold a study meeting starting at 9 am, with budget presentations scheduled from Emporia Main Street, the Lyon County Conservation District, North Lyon County Senior Center and Register of Deeds office.
In other business, commissioners will consider a $375,000 appropriation to Emporia Main Street for an Economic Development Administration grant as Main Street works on a “tech accelerator” to address the area’s shortage in technology-based jobs. Commissioners will also consider signing a contract with Gilmore & Bell for contractual services.
