The San Francisco Giants outscored the Kansas City Royals 4-2 Tuesday night. Royals starter Kris Bubic had a no-hitter going thru 4 and third innings but gave up 3 runs in the 6th inning as the Giants handed the Royals their 4th straight loss.
Bubic gave up 3 runs on 5 hits and struck out 6 and walked only 2 batters.
The Royals rallied with 2 runs in the 8th. Nicky Lopez scored on a Bobby Witt Jr sacrifice fly and Andrew Benintendi scored on a Salvador Perez single.
The Giants added a run in the bottom of the 8th for the final margin of victory.
The Royals did outhit the Giants 8-5 but did strike out 11 times.
The Royals and Giants wrap up their 3 game series this afternoon. Jonathan Heasley will be on the mound for the Royals with the first pitch at 2:45 pm. The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400am/96.9FM beginning at 2 pm.
