For the second time in as many days, Emporia’s Underground Utilities Department is dealing with significant water main issues in the city limits.
On Thursday, a 16-inch line failed near 15th and State. On Friday, a line developed at least one break in the 1300 block of Merchant. Early indications are an 8-inch line is involved but other details are pending.
