Hot and sticky conditions remain across the KVOE listening area, but at least we don’t have to worry about an excessive heat watch to start the weekend.
On Friday, the National Weather Service announced a watch beginning Saturday and continuing through Monday evening. Saturday’s watch has been replaced by a heat advisory, which has been enacted every day since June 11. The heat watch remains in effect for Sunday and Monday and reflects ongoing heat and the cumulative effect of prolonged heat on a body.
Air temperatures will be in the low 90s Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Heat index readings could be from 103-108 into next week.
