May saw a lot of home sales finalized in Emporia and Lyon County.
Sunflower Association of Realtors reports 53 homes sold last month, up from the 37 units in May 2021. Homes were typically on the market for 10 days before selling. The city’s home supply declined from one month to just over half a month between April and May.
Year-to-date, Emporia has had 184 homes sold, above 178 through May 2021 and 152 through May 2020.
Outside the city limits, Lyon County had 46 home sales in May, above the 33 from May 2021. Homes were on the market for an average of eight days and the supply was at half a month.
So far this year, Lyon County has had 160 home sales, above 148 from last year and 134 from 2020.
