Inflationary pressures are pinching everybody — including Lyon County Area Transportation.
LCAT Director Shane Brunner joined KVOE’s Morning Show this week to talk briefly about Dump the Pump and also to discuss inflation’s impact on the county’s public transit agency.
Having said that, Brunner says there are no plans to increase ride costs at this time.
For Dump the Pump last week, Brunner was pleased with a slight but noticeable increase in ridership. Brunner says there were about 100 riders each day of the two-day promotion, which is designed to bring more attention to public transportation while letting residents save money on gas. It’s an increase of around 10 riders per day.
