USD 253 Emporia is adjusting its summer meal availability at one local school.
Community Relations Director Lyndel Landgren says summer meal service will end July 8 at William Allen White, although it will continue as scheduled at Riverside through the announced end date July 29. An unspecified staff shortage is causing the adjustment at William Allen White.
Parents of children ages 1-18 can pick up lunches and the next day’s breakfast on weekdays during the program.
Separately, the district is announcing a technology surplus sale available to the public July 8. The district is selling Dell Chromebooks as well as iPad Air, iPad Air2 and iPad 5th generation tablets.
One iPad and/or Chromebook per person will be allowed.
The sale is at the east side of the Flint Hills Learning Center inside Flinthills Mall from 9-10:30 am. Cash or check payments will be accepted.
