Newman Regional Health’s Chief Nursing Officer is getting acclimated to her new role.
Heather Aylward was promoted after leading the Women’s Life Center for over a decade and serving the hospital for 16 years total as a nurse.
Aylward says hospital staffers do a great job in caring for patients. She also found inspiration for her nursing career after watching nurses care for her grandfather while she was in high school.
Aylward replaces Jim Reineke, who has been the hospital’s interim CNO since January. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in nursing from ESU and her masters in nursing from the University of Kansas.
