The Emporia Jr Spartan baseball team was swept by Newton in a doubleheader Monday night.
Newton won the first game 11-0 and won the 2nd game 13-3.
The Jr Spartans had not played a game in 10 days and Coach Anthony Markowitz said it showed.
The Jr Spartans will host the Lyon County Baseball Club Wednesday in their final home doubleheader of the season.
