A one-time nurse at Newman Regional Health’s Women’s Life Center will lead the department.
The hospital has announced Bobby Johnson is now leading the Women’s Life Center. Johnson started her nursing career in 2004 and spent 15 years in the Women’s Life Center before serving as an information systems clinical analyst from October 2019-October 2021. She then returned to nursing in labor and delivery.
Johnson replaces Heather Aylward, who led the department for 11 years before being named Chief Nursing Officer in late June.
The Women’s Life Center delivers around 400 babies a year. Newman Regional Health has delivered more than 46,000 children since it was established 100 years ago.
