Air temperatures at or above 100 degrees are possible several times this week.
The first of those times is Tuesday, when air temperatures are expected to reach 101 and heat index readings could go above 105. All area counties are in a heat advisory from 1-8 pm Tuesday.
Temperatures will be in the mid- to upper 90s for the rest of the week before highs of 101 expected Saturday and 100 on Sunday. No rain chances are in the forecast all week.
Be sure to wear light, loose-fitting clothes. Also, stay in air conditioning or a fan-cooled room if inside or shade if outdoors, and be sure to take frequent breaks. Also, be sure to check on children, elderly and pets to make sure they are handling the heat well.
