Emporia Police officers have arrested two people in connection to an alleged shooting in southeast Emporia late last week.
Police Capt. Ray Mattas says Shedrick Williams, age 27, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated battery and aggravated robbery. Keno Hopkins, age 21, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated robbery.
The case is still under investigation. Mattas has said the shooting at Eastgate Plaza was reported around 4:30 am Friday with several shots fired and one person hurt. The victim, currently unnamed, was taken to Newman Regional Health with non-life-threatening injuries. Other details are not being divulged at this time.
