It’s almost time for Emporia to go to the movies with the fourth annual No Coast Film Festival getting set to launch in just over a month.
This year’s festival will be taking place inside the Granada Theatre once again and will feature short film entries across a variety of genres. Activities will begin Friday, Sept. 9 and continue through Sunday, Sept. 11.
Rosalie Krenger of No Coast ran through the schedule of events during a recent appearance on KVOE’s Morning Show.
Nearly 200 submissions were received for this year’s festival and Krenger says the selection committee has widdled those down to 55 films ranging in time between three to 25 minutes. As always, the festival is free to attend and moviegoers are invited to come and go as they please.
