His 200th homer came in his 671st career game, behind just Philadelphia’s Ryan Howard, who achieved the feat in 2009 in 658 games.
Royals pitchers also walked 7 batters and the Royals committed 3 errors. Whit Merrifield did collect his 1000th career hit.
Royals Manager Mike Matheny said they had chances but made too many mistakes.
