Jones Aquatic Center celebrates 20 years of family-friendly fun

Despite relatively mild conditions, the Jones Aquatic Center was busy for its 20th anniversary party Saturday.

Activities included free swim and access to other amenities like the lazy river, slides and splash pad, as well as a suds cannon, inflatables and cupcakes from Renegade Cupcakes. Center manager Jennifer Wegener says the Aquatic Center is popular because it’s so family-friendly.

Wegener says the season has gone well, with a lot of hot weather in July leading to big crowds throughout the month.

The season ends Aug. 14.
