The United Way of the Flint Hills will officially launch its annual fundraising campaign later this month.
United Way CEO Mickey Edwards says things are busy now, both for the official campaign kickoff Aug. 18 and for the campaign as a whole.
The kickoff is Aug. 18 starting at 5 pm at The Pressroom, 101 West Sixth. Residents wanting to RSVP can go online, either to www.unitedwayoftheflinthills.org or www.emporiakschamber.org.
Scott and Lisa Hayes are co-chairs this year. Last year’s drive culminated in May with over $420,000 raised to benefit over 20 community partners in eight counties.
