One person has been formally charged after an alleged shooting incident in Greenwood County earlier this month.
The Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office says it responded early Aug. 5 after 35-year-old Deven Clark of Hamilton was allegedly shot. He was taken to Greenwood County Hospital in Eureka, where he was treated and released.
About two hours after the alleged shooting, deputies arrested 64-year-old David Coe on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, as well as felony interference with law enforcement and aggravated weapons violation by a convicted felon. Formal charges have not been filed against him.
Early Aug. 6, deputies also arrested 24-year-old Tylen Coe the following day on suspicion of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and possession of a weapon by a felon. The second count was upgraded to an aggravated weapons violation after formal charges were filed this month. Upcoming hearing dates are currently pending. Additional details about the alleged incident have not been divulged.
