The Tampa Bay Rays held on for a 3-2 win over the Kansas City Royals Sunday.
The Royals tied the game at 2 with 2 runs in the 5th inning. Kyle Isbel scored on an M.J. Melendez single. And Nicky Lopez scored on a Bobby Witt Jr Sacrifice Fly.
The Rays retook the lead with a run in the bottom of the 5th.
The Royals return to Kansas City after a 1-6 road trip. They host the Chicago White Sox Monday afternoon. Daniel Lynch will make the start with the first pitch set for 1:10 pm. The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM.
