The Kansas City Royals outscored the Chicago White Sox 6-4 Monday afternoon.
The Royals scored 4 runs in the first inning and never trailed. The White Sox tied the game in the 7th inning.
The Royals scored 2 more runs in the 8th to break a 4-4 tie.
Before the game the Royals called up outfielder Drew Waters, a player they acquired from Atlanta in a trade, he made his major league debut. He would walk in the 8th inning with the bases loaded to drive in the go-ahead run.
Royals’ 1st baseman Vinnie Pasquantino did leave the game with shoulder pain. No word on his status.
The Royals open a 2 game series with Arizona Tuesday night.
