Sentencing is ahead for a Colorado man who pleaded no contest to a felony count of flee and elude after a chase in Lyon and Chase counties earlier this year.
Cody Bauer accepted a plea agreement last week in Lyon County District Court. Counts of possessing drugs and paraphernalia were dismissed.
Bauer had been charged after a chase May 9, where Emporia Police tried to stop Bauer after a report he had a stolen vehicle and property, followed by a pursuit into Chase County that ultimately involved deputies from Lyon and Chase counties before Bauer crashed northeast of Strong City.
Sentencing will be Oct. 13.
When he was arrested in May, Bauer had a nationwide extraditable warrant through Colorado for failure to comply with bond. Those proceedings are currently on hold, according to Lyon County Attorney Marc Goodman.
