The Arizona Diamondbacks outscored the Kansas City Royals 7-3 Tuesday night.
The Royals scored 1st on a Bobby Witt Jr home run in the 4th inning.
Arizona tied the game in the 6th inning and took the lead in the 7th inning and put it out of reach with 3 runs in the 8th inning.
The Royals did score 2 runs in the bottom of the 8th.
Royals starter Jonathan Heasley left the game in the 5th inning after throwing up on the field. He had given up no runs on 4 hits, 2 strikeouts and 4 walks.
The Royals and Diamondbacks play again Wednesday night. Brady Singer will be the starting pitcher with the first pitch set for 7:10 pm. The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM beginning at 6:30 pm.
The Royals have placed Vinnie Pasquantino on the 10-day injured list after he left Monday’s game with shoulder discomfort.
The club recalled catcher Sebastian Rivero from Double-A Northwest Arkansas to give them a third catcher.
Pasquantino will continue to be evaluated, but the Royals are hopeful the IL stint is not a long one, perhaps allowing him to return after 10 days.
