There’s a new option for younger generations to learn in Emporia.
Imaginiarium, located inside the Emporia Main Street incubator space at 729 Commerical is set to begin offering STEM classes next month. Potential students and parents had a chance to check out the space during an open house on Wednesday night.
The business, which is the second one to enter the incubator space was founded by Dell Jacob and Melanie Curtis, both former teachers in USD 253 Emporia. Here’s Jacob:
Jacob also says enrollment for the first classes offered this fall are gaining interest from students.
Curtis said they wanted to make it affordable for everyone to partake in the variety of classes offered. She added plans are in the works for the immediate future.
Imaginarium offers classes, camps, school education services including homeschool services and professional development opportunities. Emporia Main Street Executive Director Casey Woods is excited to see how Imaginarium takes off beginning next month.
Imaginarium fared well in Main Street’s Show of Hands pitch competition back in April, scoring over $4,300 in crowdsourcing funds.
