Music will be heard throughout the Prairie thanks to an upcoming concert at Pioneer Bluffs.
The Great Plains Jazz Orchestra is coming to Pioneer Bluffs Saturday for a concert titled: The Great American Songbook. Pioneer Bluffs Director Lynn Smith, a recent guest of KVOE’s Morning Show, says the music is deeply rooted in history and features a selection of “the most important and influential popular songs.”
The concert is scheduled to begin at 7 pm on the shaded lawn and will last approximately 90 minutes. The Great Plains Orchestra is a highly accomplished contingent of 18 artists that has performed for notable individuals such as President George W. Bush and Luciano Pavarotti.
Cowboy Caviar prepared by Chef Tracey Graham, water and a cash bar will all be available during the performance. Admission is free with a suggested donation of $20.
