There will be more of Emporia’s All Veterans Tribute activities in November, but the activity slate kicked off Saturday with the 18th annual All Veterans Tribute Golf Tournament at the Emporia Golf Course.
Longtime organizer Jesse Solis tells KVOE News he’s proud to see where the funding goes — veterans groups, the All Veterans Memorial and Emporia’s Mexican-American Memorial — and he’s proud to honor veterans for their service in this way.

Looking ahead to the Tribute, the event list hasn’t been posted, but activities typically include an art exhibition, student essay contest awards, Main Street Freedom Fest, a Quilts of Gratitude ceremony, parade and memorial service.
