Rain may have wrapped things up a bit early for Emporia’s Great American Market, but it was still a banner event.
Main Street Community Engagement Coordinator Jessica Buchholz says there was a fun atmosphere in and amongst all the treasures to be had.
Buchholz says over 160 vendors crammed into the space on Commercial between Sixth and 12th. Shoppers came from several states, and vendors came from as far away as South Dakota for the market. Buchholz and Main Street Director Casey Woods also began processing several vendors planning to return for next year’s event.
Upcoming for Emporia Main Street is involvement in the annual Start Your Own Business classes beginning Oct. 10 and involvement in the Main Street Freedom Fest as part of Emporia’s All Veterans Tribute in early November.
