Patrick Mahomes threw 5 touchdown passes to lead the Kansas City Chiefs to a 44-21 win over the Arizona Cardinals in their season opener Sunday.
Mahomes completed 30 of 39 passes for 360 yards. He connected with 9 different receivers.
Clyde Edwards-Helaire caught two touchdown passes and rushed for 42 yards.
Travis Kelce had 8 catches for 121 yards and a touchdown.
Mecole Hardman and Jody Fortson also caught touchdown passes.
Coach Andy Reid called it good season opener.
The Chiefs will host the Los Angeles Chargers Thursday night.
