After getting high marks for its practical nursing program, Flint Hills Technical College has more positive news to share overall.
The college has announced it is among the top 10 associate-degree-granting colleges when it comes to three-year graduation rates as listed by The Chronicle of Higher Education. This is based on data collected annually from nearly 900 schools nationwide and includes graduation rates of first-time, full-time, degree-seeking or certificate-seeking students who began classes in the fall of 2017 and completed their education, either with an associate degree or certificate, within three years.
It’s the third straight year FHTC has achieved top-10 status for three-year graduation rates.
This follows the college’s announcement its practical nursing program was first out of over 1,100 programs nationwide for the number of graduates passing the National Council Licensure Examination — at least based on programs with at least 10 graduates taking the NCLEX exam during the same reporting period.
