The USD 253 Emporia Board of Education has an update on staffing as part of its regular meeting Wednesday.
Board members will learn more about the district’s staffing changes right before the school year began last month, as well as early information about class sizes and work to recruit employees to the district’s open positions.
In addition, the board will get an update on after-school programs through the Boys and Girls Club and they will discuss participation in the US Department of Agriculture’s Fresh Fruits and Vegetables program.
Separately, the board will discuss several donations to the Emporia High theater program as part of its consent agenda, where several items can be handled with one vote. An executive session on student matters is also planned.
The meeting starts at 6:30 pm Wednesday at Mary Herbert Education Center.
