The Detroit Tigers outscored the Kansas City Royals 4-3 in 10 innings Tuesday night.
Zack Greinke shut out the Tigers over 7 innings on 4 hits.
The Royals had built a 3-0 lead thanks to a 2-run home run by Hunter Dozier in the 2nd inning and Nate Eaton drove in a run in the 4th inning with a triple.
The Tigers would tie the game scoring 3 runs in the bottom of the 8th inning and scored the winning run with 2 out in the 10th.
The Royals and Tigers play again tonight with Daniel Lynch on the mound for the Royals. The first pitch is set for 5:40 pm.
