Jefry Linares says the Spartans are ready to play another match. The Spartans have not played since last Thursday against Topeka High.
Coach Victor Ibarra says the Spartans are up for another challenge.
Kickoff is set for 6:15 p.m. at Emporia High School. The Spartans take a 7-2 record into the match.
The Emporia High girls golf team will be playing in the Topeka High Invitational.
Senior Avary Eckert who won her second Centennial League title on Monday says the Spartans are playing their best at the right time.
Thursday’s tournament will be played at Lake Shawnee Golf Course. It’s the second to last regular season tournament for the Spartans before regionals, which EHS will host on October 10 at Emporia Golf Course.
The Emporia High cross country teams are running in Winfield. The Spartans’ top runners are not running in this meet giving others in the program a chance to run in a meet.
The Emporia High gymnastics team travels to Shawnee Mission Northwest for a meet.
