A man initially accused of trying to rob an Emporia convenience store earlier this year will be sentenced Tuesday.
Darren Hutcherson is set for sentencing at 9 am.
Hutcherson was charged after trying to rob Max’s BP, less than a block away from police headquarters, in late March. In late August, Hutcherson accepted a no-contest plea agreement for attempted aggravated assault instead of attempted robbery.
