Mystery, drama, fiction, cookbooks, audiobooks, and more are some of the options that The Friends of the Library fall book sale will offer to the public this Saturday.
This year all the funds from the sale will go to support the Emporia Public Library project of book lockers and book drops. The Friends of the Library president Gene Graber says this will help people to have more accessibility during times they cannot visit the library to get or return books.
The book sale will start Saturday through Oct. 20 at 618 Mechanic St. As usual, 9 am to 11 am are for Friends members only on Saturday.
The general public hours will start from 11 am through 5 pm Saturday and 1 pm to 5 pm Sunday. Both days are full-price books. Special bag sales of $10 start at 9 am to 6 pm Monday and Tuesday, $5 bag sales will be at 9 am to 6 pm Wednesday, and $2 bag sales will happen from 9 am to noon Thursday.
