The Emporia State soccer team closed out the regular season with a 2-0 win over Washburn Sunday.
Mackenzie Dimarco scored the first goal, it came with 9:22 to play in the match.
Haley Sparks scored the 2nd goal with just over 5 minutes to play.
The win earns Emporia State the number 2 seed in the MIAA tournament. Mackenzie Dimarco says she can’t wait for the post-season.
The Lady Hornets will host Northeastern State in the first round next Sunday, October 30th.
The other first-round matches have number 1 seed Central Missouri hosting Missouri Western.
Washburn plays at Northwest Missouri State.
Fort Hays State hosts Central Oklahoma.
The Semi-finals will be played on November 4th and the Championship match on November 6th.
