Kansas Miss Amazing participants are ready to compete in Emporia Saturday after a year’s worth of practice and interviews.
The local Miss Amazing Pageant celebrates the building of confidence through leadership in young girls and women with disabilities. Miss Amazing Director Michelle Roberts says this event is personal for her as she lives with disabilities and wanted to serve as a role model for other women.
This year there are 25 participants with physical, emotional and intellectual disabilities. The top seven participants will be chosen to participate on Aug. 2023 at the national Miss Amazing competition.
The event will be from 4 pm to 6 pm at the Emporia High School theater. Tickets are $15 per person and can be purchased online or at the event.
All the money raised from the tickets will fundraise the Miss Amazing program
