Beacon for Hope Suicide Prevention is hosting its annual Unmasking Suicide Masquerade Ball Saturday night.
The event will take place inside of the Emporia Granada Theatre with dinner, dancing and the traditional unmasking ceremony. Beacon for Hope Director Melissa Owen says the unmasking is a symbolic and therapeutic exercise for anyone and everyone in attendance.
The Masquerade Ball will take place from 5 pm to 9 pm. Tickets can be purchased online at Hopelinks.org. Tickets will not be sold at the door the night of the event.
The evening will also include a silent auction and 50/50 raffle with all proceeds going to support the work of Beacon in the local community.
The ball comes justa few short weeks after Beacon moved into its new home at 529 Commercial Suite 7 as part of the Social Innovation Labratory. For more information visit Hopelinks.org or call 620-794-2229.
