The Emporia State soccer team is headed back to the MIAA Tournament Championship match.
The Lady Hornets defeated Northwest Missouri State, 1-0, in a semifinal today in Warrensburg, Missouri.
Mackenzie DiMarco scored in the 57th minute to give the Lady Hornets the lead for good.
Emporia State outshot Northwest 17-8 and 11-3 on goal.
The Lady Hornets are now 11-5-4 on the season. They’ll play Central Missouri at 1 p.m. Sunday in Warrensburg, Missouri for the post-season tournament championship.
Central Missouri defeated Fort Hays State 2-0.
