Half the finalist field has been named as Emporia State University moves closer to filling its provost position.
Greg Haddock, Northwest Missouri State’s associate provost of graduate and professional studies since 2016, is the second finalist to be publicized. Haddock has been at Northwest Missouri since 1996, initially serving as a professor before being elevated to acting dean of the College of Business and Professional Studies in 2011 — while also serving at the time as vice provost and graduate dean.
Haddock earned his bachelor of arts degree in music from Mary Washington University in 1990. He received his master of science and doctorate in geography from the University of Idaho.
A campus and community forum will take place from 2-3:30 pm Thursday at the Memorial Union Webb Hall, followed immediately by a faculty-only forum at the Preston Family Room.
Haddock follows Dr. Sean Lane, currently the dean of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at Alabama-Huntsville. Lane has his official visit Wednesday. Finalists will also interview Nov. 14 and Nov. 17.
