The Emporia State women’s basketball team opened the season with a 58-57 win over Harding. Coach Toby Wynn called it a good season opener.
The Lady Hornets forced 31 turnovers and scored 26 points off the turnovers.
Tre’Zure Jobe led Emporia State in scoring with 18 points.
Victoria Price added 17 points. Emporia States’ biggest lead was by 9 in the first half. The biggest lead by Harding was by 4 points. There were 6 lead changes in the game.
Emporia State will play Henderson State Saturday with tipoff set for 11 am.
The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM.
