Wichita State picked up their first win of the season outscoring Richmond 56-53 Thursday night.
Jaykwan Walton was the leading scorer for the Shockers with 20 points. James Rojas added 15 points and Craig Porter finished with 11 points.
Wichita State is not 1-1 for the season.
The Shockers now head to Kansas City for the Hall of Fame Classic, beginning Monday afternoon against Grand Canyon.
