Area football players were recognized with honors from the Lyon County League or 8-Man Division I District 2.
The Lyon County League announced its teams on Sunday, while 8-Man DI D2 announced its on Monday.
First team LCL offensive selections as backs are Burlingame’s Colby Middleton, Madison’s Bryson Turner, Lebo’s Corey Reese and Hartford’s Ali Smith. Middleton, Turner, and Resse were unanimous selections. Burlingame’s Matthew Heckman and Lebo’s Luke Davies are first-team selections at wide receiver. Heckman was a unanimous pick. Madison’s Gavin Isch is a first-team selection at tight end. Burlingame’s Parker Haid and Tyler Lockwood and Lebo’s Austin Bailey are first-team selections as offensive linemen. Haid and Lockwood are unanimous selections. Turner is a unanimous first-team pick as a returner.
First team defensive selections at defensive end are Madison’s Lane Darbro, Lebo’s Zach Oswald and Burlingame’s Timmy Roberts. Bailey is a unanimous first-team pick at nose guard/defensive tackle. Middleton, Reese and Burlingame’s JD Tyson are unanimous picks at linebacker. Turner, Heckman, and Burlingame’s Dane Winters are first-team selections as defensive backs. Turner and Winters are unanimous picks.
On special teams, Burlingame’s Jose Arevalo is a unanimous first-team pick at kicker. Smith is a first-team selection as a punter.
Turner and Middleton were named Co-Offensive MVPs of the league. Bailey is the league’s Defensive MVP.
Second team offensive selections as backs are Winters and Lebo’s Drew Konrade. Lebo’s Landon Grimmett is a second-team selection at wide receiver. Roberts is a second team pick at tight end. Oswald and Madison’s Jesse Schneider as offensive linemen. Heckman is a second-team pick as a returner.

8-Man DI D2’s first team offensive selections include Chase County’s Gavyn Francis and Emilano Zuniga and Lyndon’s Kaedin Massey as offensive linemen. Turner and Lyndon’s Jalen Massey were selected as running backs. Chase County’s Mitch Budke is a first-team pick at quarterback. Heckman at wide receiver and Chase County’s Cal Kohlmeier was selected as a utility.
